Did you know? That D & D Smith Winery had their first "Estate" wine available in 2013? Yep, Frontenac Gris, a light, peachy flavor! We planted these vines nearly 5 years earlier and had our first good harvest in 2012.  We are so excited!!

We had our first Gold Winner with our Apple-Cinn at the Ohio Wine Competition in 2013! Apple-Cinn won an award in 2015 and Riesling in 2015 too!

We are proud to recycle! If you have bottles you've purchased from us and you've rinsed them out, you can drop them off. We'll sterilize and reuse them. This allows us to be green in our own way, helps the environment, and helps with a bit of savings for us as well.

We are located at 401 W. Main Street in Norwalk, Ohio 44857.It's somewhat tricky to locate. Follow West Main St to Rt 61, head South, just past the Armory go right onto West Main St. The first yellow house you see on the left is our Winery.

Thank you for visiting our site and please give us a call at (419) 577-0242 or stop in for a glass of your favorite wine!

Well, this is part of the starting line! We had around 45 show up for this race and many who stayed for the evening of raffles and foods.

About Us

See, you can even get married at D & D Smith Winery! Give us a call and we will set the date!Type your paragraph here. See the Wedding tab above for more details.

D & D Smith Winery is ran by a family of four. We have all been a part of making wine for over a decade! In 2014 our boys Joe and Cori and their friend Dave helped with the Sangria wine you purchase today.  They used all their own fruits and created a medium rose', fruity wine!

We have been in business since February 2008 and went through our 1st "crush season" in the fall of 2008. We have opened a winery to provide tastings, GREAT TIMES, private parties, indoor/outdoor seating, and foods.

Thank you for your support!

Benefit for Brain Cancer Research July 2011. Check out a few photos we've posted. I realize it's a bit late but I wanted to get a few of these up. Thank you for participating in this event!

Meet Selma!! She is a Brain Cancer Survivor! We had a 5k run in July (sorry so late getting this up there) and her family came out to run the benefit in her name! We wish the best for all in fighting this disease.

Note: Danielle lost her dad, Chuck Love Sr. March 2010 to Brain Cancer. There are many we've loved and lost to this horrible disease. We will continue to do some type of fund raiser in the future to help support this cause for our local families.

This was a great local event and one we were proud to offer a donation to the PiggyBack Foundation. Thank you for all your help and support!

We gave out awards, gifts, baskets, did a few raffles then retired indoors to listen to some music by Acoustic Scotty and had enough items donated to do raffles every 20 minutes till midnight!! This was fun and we were able to raise some well needed money for Brain Cancer patients. We'll try it again next year....keep us in mind to participate in this wonderful event!

We have food on Thursday nights with a Taco Bar $6 from 6-8, and Friday nights from 6pm-8pm Spaghetti Buffet with Meat Sauce for $6.00, includes Salad, and Bread (good stuff!). Choose a beverage to go along with it! Family friendly. Soda and water as well as sparkling grape juice is also available.

Humbling new beginnings. I'll start adding some photos of our 1st year producing wine, our winery before it was a winery, and some photos of the same spot now in the near future. Before and after shots! This is in the basement of our home around September 2008. We took a room, put locks on both doors (for our federals you know!), had 7 tanks of 600 liters each, a 6 prong bottle filler shown and a stand alone hand corker. That was the start of D and D Smith Winery! More to come!
